How far in advance should I book your services?
To ensure availability, you should reserve your date as soon as it's known. Spring and summer dates fill up fast, so it's never too soon to book your wedding day with us.

What types of payment are acceptable?
Cash, check, money order, and credit/debit cards via PayPal are acceptable payments.

Does sales tax apply?
Yes, the State of Florida requires that we collect and remit sales tax (6.5%) on the entire coverage fee.

Do you offer your services outside of weddings?
Absolutely! We can provide you with the same professional quality of work(for both photography and videography) for Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, school events/seminars, parties/special events (birthday, anniversaries, sweet 16, retirement, or any other special gathering), and more.

What is wedding photojournalism?
Wedding photojournalism is the art of telling the story of a wedding with photographs. It is photography of the real wedding as it happens, without staging or direction by the photographers. We will also make any requested formal posed portraits, though those typically make up only a small percentage of the day's photos.

Will there be any posed photographs?
Yes, these are important for family historical purposes. The five important group photos for most weddings are: bride and groom, bride and groom with wedding party, bride and groom with parents, bride and groom with bride's immediate family (include any siblings and grandparents), bride and groom with groom's immediate family (include any siblings and grandparents), as well as any other requested poses photos.

Will you photograph every person at the wedding?
We don't usually make a record of every person in attendance, but please feel free to ask for photos of specific people and groups during the reception.

Can we view our photos online?
Absolutely! All of our packages offer online viewing for up to 90 days.

What are proofs (digital negatives)?
Proofs are high resolution images in JPG format. Proofs have no writing or logo on the front. They do receive individual adjustments for color, contrast and brightness.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Your online web gallery is available for viewing within 21 days of the wedding. A disk of the photos is sent to you within 21 days of the ceremony.

In what format are the proofs offered?
All images are sent to you on disk (JPG format) and over the web, via online galleries.

What are custom photographs (processed images)?
Processed images are custom detailed professional photographs in high resolution, suitable for very large or smaller prints. This means that they receive subtle retouching of blemishes, refined adjustments to color, contrast and brightness and usually some cropping. If requested, they can also be made with sepia toning or other special effects.

How soon after the event are the custom photographs ready for viewing?
Your online web gallery is available for viewing within 21 days of the wedding. A disk of the photos is sent to you within 21 days of the ceremony.

In what format are the proofs offered?
All images are sent to you on disk (JPG format) and over the web, via online galleries.

How do we reserve our weddings date with Finer Things Photography?
You can reserve your wedding date for a $500 deposit and a signed contract. Dates are booked on a first come, first served basis. Dates are not held pending a scheduled meeting, or after a meeting, as other clients may actually submit their contract and retainer in the meantime. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to your wedding day.
Videography

May I choose my own music for the video?
Music during the ceremony and parts of the reception are typically the actual music you'll hear in your video. You are however encouraged to choose selections for the introduction, highlight, and photo montage. Selections may be provided on CD, or via MP3 audio files.

Can we acknowledge those involved in the wedding on our DVD?
If you provide the wedding party names and roles, these will be incorporated into an end title sequence much as you see in a feature film. You may also include a prayer, poem, or a message to your friends and family as part of your custom titles. We will provide you with a questionnaire four to six weeks prior to your wedding date, giving you the opportunity to provide all of this information.

How are the vows recorded?
We use a professional grade wireless microphone system for the recording of the vows.

How long will it take to receive my completed DVD(s)?
You will receive your DVDs within 45 days of your wedding day. In most cases, you will receive them within the first 3 weeks.

What are the steps for arranging for a Finer Things Videography video?
